Seeing You, Seeing Me
MELBOURNE FASHION WEEK, 2023

Seeing You, Seeing Me explores the relationship between clothing, identity and perception. Every day we get dressed and communicate something about who we are. But what happens when what we wear does not reflect our true self? Through a series of experiences, the project invites participants to reflect on how clothes shape their sense of self and how they are seen by others. Participants engage in moments of conversation and self-observation, questioning how much of themselves they adapt to meet social expectations. Seeing You, Seeing Me considers fashion not as clothing, but as a medium through which identity and authenticity are negotiated.
