Adele Varcoe is an Australian artist whose work explores the social and emotional affects of fashion, dress and clothes. Through participatory performances, installations and public experiments, Adele investigates how what we wear shapes behaviour, identity and human interaction.

Adele has presented work internationally at festivals and museums including State of Fashion: Searching for the New Luxury in Arnhem, MONA FOMA in Tasmania, the Festival of Live Art at Arts House in Melbourne and exhibitions at the Boijmans Museum in Rotterdam and the Australian Centre for Contemporary Art. Her projects frequently blend performance, fashion and psychology, creating environments where audiences become active participants in the work.

She holds a PhD from the School of Fashion and Textiles at RMIT University, where her research focused on the psychology and social experience of dress. Adele is also a lecturer and the host of the podcast Feeling Fashion, which explores the cultural and psychological dimensions of clothing and identity.
